Front end plasti dip done! With pics

I finished everything on the front end today. I still want to do the wheels, nerf bars, and rear bumper. I am undecided weather to dip or remove the emblems. I am absolutely thrilled with how it has turned out so far.

Looks good! Don't think your light output is going to be too great on the fogs though...

Hahaha. Yeah. I hadn't taken the masking off the fogs yet. Had to go get the kids from school and took pics when I got back. I still have to put the tow hooks back on too. But I am pretty excited about the result.

Those headlights are just some plastic trim things that are double sided taped on. I have always disliked them. But now I think they look great! I like it so much that am getting more dip right now so I can do the wheels tomorrow.

post up how it holds up, I'm getting tired of cleaning the damn bugs off my chrome from highway driving and am considering plasti dipping or lining much just like what you did.

Well the previous owner of my truck also put these nifty chrome covers on my tail lights. Well, when I am done, I want no chrome, and since these are held on with double sided tape, my only choice is new tail lights or dip the cover too. So I spent most of this evening on the couch doing this:

Wheels happen tomorrow. My uncle owns the local shop, so after they close at noon, I am putting it on the lift, taking the wheels off and leaving the truck there till I am done. My Mom is visiting my brother in Florida so I can use her car if I have to. But I can leave the truck on the lift till Sunday evening if I have to. Probably take the nerf bars off while it's on the lift as well.

I'm a little worried about how well that masking is going to come off. Some of it runs under that plastic chrome thing. Hope it doesn't take as long to get it off as it did to put it on. Hahaha

These are done and back on.

The truck is still on stands. Wheels and nerf bars are in the garage getting plasti-dipped right now.

I have about three coats on them. I'm thinking another two coats just to be on the safe side. Maybe three more on the nerf bars since they will take more abuse.
