Those are nicely made locking hub kits but they don't address the worst front end design in mechanical history... The unit bearings...

I will be adding locking hubs to my 2500 in the near future but they will be the original spindle design, with real bearings and a real full-floating design. There are a couple of companies making this style but I haven't decided yet which one I will go with. I have also given some consideration to just having a custom Dana 60 front end made up and swapping it out with the factory front end. I use my truck as a real truck, not a grocery-getter, so am more interested/concerned with strength.

I have a real issue with the unit bearing hubs because I've had two different unit bearings fail on me at highway speeds, only my driving experience kept my truck from being totaled and other cars/drivers being hurt. If I ever meet the person who designed the unit bearing, I swear I'll kick them in the nuts so hard their great great grandfather will feel it...

Dynatrac is an excellent choice. By my count, there are 4 different spindle-style kits on the market, ranging from $1400 up to $2000, depending on the hubs used. You can't beat a Warn locking hub, whatever I end up purchasing will have Warns...

Spyntec makes a shorty kit that doesn't stick out as far as some of the others. That's the kit I'm giving the most eyeball to, but all of the different kits are top-notch.
