Front Power Windows Failed

Good evening.

My front driver and passenger power windows recently stopped working. I've done some searches and haven't seemed to find anyone with this exact issue.

The rear power windows all work, the power door locks and power mirrors all work on the switch. The leds light up in the switch. The front driver and passenger windows just won't work. Much like everyone else's different power window issues, this also makes it so in the passenger door, the passenger power window button won't work on the passenger window either.

Oddly enough, with this issue, I also get a check engine light issue. If I disconnect the battery for 5 minutes and let the check engine light reset, the power windows work for a few minutes, then they stop working and the check engine light comes on.

Has anybody else seen this issue? Do you know exactly which part to replace? I'm thinking the problem may be the module in the door that the mirrors and power window module all plug into?

Maybe one of the motors is binding? If the check engine light is coming on I would think it's logging a code. I don't think I'd keep resetting it by disconnecting the battery until you find out, a simple problem might turn into an expensive one.

Get the code read. It may be setting something from the Body Control Module.

Yea, I haven't had a chance to check the code yet. I may run over to advance auto part tomorrow to borrow the reader and see what code it's picking up.
