MOPAR in general had an issue with some vehicles stalling after fill up.

In many cases it was due to "topping" off, which introduced raw fuel into the EVAP vent line, effectively causing the system to "choke" due to lack of circulation in that system.

On the first gen LX cars (Chargers, Magnums, 300's) the solution was to replace the fuel tank.

I do not know if Dodge ran the same program for the trucks but might be worth looking into.

Also, if you can access it, make sure the vent tube is firmly fastened at the filler neck.

Lastly, just don't "top it off" and you should be fine.

One thread on this subject will be more than sufficient, robbiebobbie.

Side note - the full issue with the LX cars was not topping the tank off, it was the roll-over valve from one side of the tank to the other since the LX cars have a saddle tank. I don't think that'd be the issue with the Rams. However, topping it off in the Ram could still lead to back flush raw fuel into the charcoal canister, which could cause it to stall.
