Gas and the prices are different everywhere, and for a wide variety of reasons. That said, I just topped off a couple hours ago. My tank was around 1/4 mark, I added 2 bottles of SI-1 and filled the tank with Top Tier 90 octane Ethanol Free, as I always do.

I noticed the price was $4.89/gallon, the same it has been for months. So I checked the price for 87 octane E10, $3.79/gallon, same it has been for months. I say "for months" because that's when I started looking due to all the conversation all across social media.

I used to shop for gas, sometimes, when I was working because I would burn through it so quickly. Like filling up 2/week.
Now I'm retired and 26 gallons lasts a while and I buy based on what I think is good for the truck and I wouldn't look at the price but it seems to weave it's way into many conversations.

Gas did indeed jump overnight $1.77/ litre today average my area.

I also talked to a tech from Redline, asked about shelflife on products. 5 years is considered to be no problem. So I will be buying a few more SI-1 bottles for sure to add to my stock. I am good for oil.

Wowzers sad to hear your prices went up, today I drove by a local station at 10 AM noticed diesel was $5.49, yet when I came back home 3 hours later prices across the board had dropped 7 cents for all grades of gas and diesel, also another station 1 mile away had also lowered gas prices so it was not just one station lowering prices..

Interesting we are paying the same now as we did in 2008, see historical gas prices. There are some correlations on why certain years fossil fuels are higher, but interesting the price today is what is was nearly twenty years ago.

I wish everything was so reasonably priced, my cookies and ice cream has tripled and then some since 08, and beef forget about it.

My 09 Ram went 325,000 miles before it dropped a rod and I used 87 primarily for it's entire life from anywhere that I could find it the cheapest BUT I changed my oil every 5,000 miles and before each oil change I added either chevron Techron fuel system clean or Red-line si-1

Way way back when I was a cashier in a grocery store in the 1970s and
before all the "shortages" were so popular the typical price for coffee was about $1.89 USD for a 3lb bag. Whole bean, but we had coffee grinders right at the register.

Yeah, everything was cheaper, including hourly pay!

I was surprised out new Marathon station sells high quality R-99 diesel, with just adding 23 gallons to approx. 8-9 gallons of B-5, then driving about 35-40 minutes of combo drive, I can say I'm impressed with the results of burning 55+ Cetane fuel along with the mpg read out showing an improvement of around 3+ mpg for the drive I have taken many times, sad part R-99 is not sold in the mid west where I will soon relocate too...

What is R-99 diesel fuel? Imma ask you instead of google, prefer somebody who knows before the six-fingered plagiarism summary bot whenever I can.

Also, have you run any payback calc on it? i.e. - is it equivalently priced per energy content (mpg)?

Its a renewable drop in replacements fuel that burns cleaner then Dino diesel and its said to be lower carbon footprint, one benefit is it is selling for less $$$ then B-5 and it has a lot higher Cetane between 55 & 70 compared to 42-45 from dino juice aka then regular B-5 diesel, from those who use it they say it is great to use if your have DPF, unlike Bio its not as oily and burns much cleaner, many see better mpg and as I noticed less engine noise at idle. I'll attach a photo showing the 2 fuels side by side. Oh I'm sure you can find a better description then mine, just look up what is R-99 diesel...

EDIT: Being it burns cleaner it is easier on the DPF with less soot loading compared to B-5 to B-20

One mans pollution is another's lifeline, plants cant live w/o it.
