I ordered oil on Monday 4-14-2025 and had it for a delivery on Saturday. Well when I looked to see when on Saturday it would be delivered, it said "order lost". So I was going to cancel it an go to the Parts store but they wanted $13 a quart. Amazon is $45 for 6 quart case. So I jumped on Amazon to see when I could get another shipment and it said, today if I order in a few minutes. So I ordered one case, forgetting I needed 7.5 Quarts. So I went back on ad quickly ordered a 2nd case that said it would also be here.

first 2 cases ordered ended up showing up today as well as 1 more case. The second case will be here tomorrow, so Now i have 3 oil changes worth of oil LMAO!

But is it the 0W-40 Ultra Platinum (yes that is what the HO needs) and $7.56 a quart is really good

Seeing you don't have a dipstick, go by the HUD, it will give you the level, don't over fill it, are you sure it takes 7,5 qts that what the hemi takes, something in the HUD has to be reset after oil fill, you may get an oil level to high, a friend of mine has the SST HO.

Im weird about new engines. Got mine changed at dealership at 1500mls.
Cost me………wait for it!…….$150!
But that level reset is a bustard to reset according to the foreman I have gotten friendly with. Fill, 7.5, reads over full, drain a bit out, then UNDERFULL. Each time it has a sequence to go thru.
Can take up to 30/40 mins to do an oil change ffs!
I’ll wait to do mine till you fellas figure it out!

I've been dealing with the lack of dipstick since I bought my first Audi. It sucks, but at least with Audi you still have a dipstick tube. There are aftermarket dipsticks available for those that I've been using, so I'm not held hostage to the oil level sensors and any weirdness they come with. But apparently Stellantis didn't see fit to include a dipstick tube on the Hurricane engines. So, at this point I have no plans to buy a Hurricane equipped Ram truck. I don't trust the sensors, and from what I've been reading there are grounds for that mistrust.

From OM

Engine Oil With Filter
3.0L Engine 7.5 qt 7.1 L
3.6L Engine 5 qt 4.7 L

Engine Oil — 3.0L High Output (RHO) Engine
We recommend using Mopar® API Certified SAE 0W-40 Full Synthetic Engine Oil, which meets the requirements of the manufacturer Material Standard MS-A0921. Equivalent full synthetic SAE 0W-40 engine oil can be used but must have the API Donut trademark with a certification level of API-SP or later. API-SN+ is also acceptable.

CAUTION!
Usage of earlier API certification levels (such as API-SN or prior) can result in engine damage and is not covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

Seems straight forward. I'll find out tonight

1. Without pressing the brake pedal, push the ENGINE START/STOP button and place the ignition in the ON/RUN position (do not start the engine).

2. Push and release the down arrow button to scroll downward through the main menu to “Vehicle Info.”

3. Push and release the right arrow button to access the ”Oil Life” screen.

4. Push and hold the OK button to reset oil life. If conditions are met, the gauge and numeric display will update to show 100%. If conditions are not met a pop-up message of “To reset oil life engine must be off with ignition in run” will be displayed (for five seconds), and the user will remain at the Oil Life screen.

5. Push and release the up or down arrow button to exit the submenu screen.

PUP 0w40 is about the worst possible oil for a di turbo, super high calcium, super high viscosity index improvers and low mag. I'd look for a dexos 0w40 if I was going to use 0w40, which I probably wouldnt do either.

What happens if you turn the ignition to the Run position but don't start the engine, and press the gas pedal to the floor 3 times in a row with in a fairly short time period, like 10 to 15 seconds.
That used to be the industry standard to reset the oil life monitor, wonder if it'll still work on the new 5th Gens to.

I can try that first, and report back.
