I order 1 quart of Mopar ATF+4 MS-9602 from Amazon and yesterday i got the package with a quart of Mopar CVTF+4 05191184AB Instead, so i return it back today but yesterday i re-order from the same seller again thinking that maybe was a mistake or something but today i got the same thing again. I don't think this is the right oil for me the CVTF+4

I have the 2015 Ram 1500 5.7 hem with 65RFE 6 Speed Automatic tranny

Don't think so. That is for a constant variable speed transmission
  • Type: Fluid for Continuously Variable Transmissions (CVTs).
  • Part Number: Commonly listed as 05191184AB or replacing 5191184AA.
CVTF+4 and ATF+4 MS-9602 are not interchangeable; using the wrong one can cause severe, immediate transmission damage. CVTF+4 is specialized for Continuously Variable Transmissions requiring high friction, while ATF+4 (MS-9602) is for traditional step-gear automatic transmissions

You're nuts to order transmission fluid off Amazon, suck it up and buy it at your local dealer,if you can't afford "1" quart at the dealer, you probably should be walking :Big Laugh: :Big Laugh::Big Laugh:

Do we have to worry about fake fluids on Amazon now?

Getting ready to order some RedLine 5w-30 and want to order some of the 8+9 speed unicorn p'ss for when I install my PPE pan in the near future, I already have 7 qts here.

Debating the Valvoline MaxLife as well.

Thinking of doing just a drain and fill with my existing pan first, then another with the PPE pan. I also have Jesse's bypass and cap and looking to get rid of the majority of the old heat exchanger lines, too.

ATF+4 is licensed to many oil manufacturers, and you can buy it at any parts store.
Seen Penzoil atf+4 at Napa and also they napa brand and Valvoline atf+4 and i guess those should be ok?

Yes. ATF+4 is a licensed product and must meet specs to be called such. Alternatively you could go with a well known quality 'universal' fluid like Valvoline MaxLife.

Walmart or any auto parts store will have a licensed ATF+4. Castrol and Valvoline ATF+4 should be available pretty much anywhere.

I would not get fluids from Amazon unless its the brands storefront on there. Even then, I don't trust Amazon for critical fluids like ATF.
