JW, respectfully. Pegboard? insulting to your garage, cabinets and floor. I can see why you want to be careful regarding the step transition from the house to the garage. I am thinking 3 steps. Need to be deep enough for easy step up/down by wife. That would require the step landings to come out on the floor farther than you may want. First thought is the material that is being used on all weather patio's. It is composite, last forever and comes in colors. Cabinets came out realy nice. High quality.

Lol, I'm not talking traditional pegboard, but metal like this...

4 Foot Pegboard Sheets with Formed Edges by Wall Control Pegboard – Two Pack of 16in x 48in Metal Pegboard Panels https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C2C4L6S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_YuH6Bb7W2KBV5

Had it in the last garage and it was nice.

Thanks for the idea with composite decking, definitely worth a consideration.

Just don't know if that would be too much stainless with the countertop. They do make it in black though...
for my eye's,,either would work. How many inches, width between the door molding and the right side of the cabinet?

Worktop is 84 inches wide if that's what you're asking
No, want to know how wide the open space between the entrance door to the house and side of the cabinet is. Would like to think about the use of that space. You have a electrical duplex so that opens up options for that space. Unless you have already decided what will go there.

Ah, that's 30 inches or just under. My plan is to out a beer fridge there. I also have a Jet 650 dust collector that would be super convenient there too, but it's the best place for the beer fridge.

I suspected that you had it dialed in. Could be convenient for many options.

The progress is amazing. What a great job you have done! I know this guy that is designing and building his own garage that is really sharp. Maybe he can give you a couple of suggestions on that electrical problem your having----LOL

JW I may be obsessing over that 30" space next to the shop desk. I'M thinking beer frig or Kager frig. Coffee maker cabinet. OR a storage cabinet for wife's bulk cleaning stuff.

Well, I pulled the new line through conduit and then found my problem....IMG_20181117_182334.jpg
I feel so dumb, but still happy to say I now know I've never drilled into an electrical wire in the wall. I left myself slack to move breakers around in the box, so I can bypass the knick in the line. Unfortunately, I cut the line in the attic to triage already. Hoping I can gain enough slack to get away with 1 jbox.

I may put two outdoor rated mini fridges there. I love stouts, which should be kept warmer than the regular beer types most folks drink... At the moment, I'm over budget and the golf sim setup I'm looking at now is close to Whipple territory, so I've got some tough choices ahead, but need to wait till tax refund/bonus time for the big decision.

Bingo bango, problem solved. Now I can get back to the agenda for the day lol. I put great stuff in the cracks between the framing for the garage doors. Got more slatwall on Friday. Plan is to slatwall the rest of the garage and around the garage doors so I can start putting up the garage door openers. First opener will be ok, second will need to be retrofitted with a sprocket system due to clearance. Also need to drill and run a wire in between the garage doors through the header so that I can add another coach light there in the future when I get bored.IMG_20181117_193252.jpg

Just found a cool spot in the epoxy that I thought I'd point out.... Once I finished prep of the garage floor, I noticed I didn't chase some of the cracks far enough since there was dirt and whatnot in them. They were very minor hairline cracks, so I didn't bother repatching them all. Here's a pick of one of them I just saw. The epoxy is completely flush, it just made a difference with the mixing and swirls. I think it looks pretty cool, as long as it doesn't open up more lol IMG_20181117_195210.jpg
Oh and everyone that sees the floor is afraid to step in it and asks if it's wet lol

Finally got back to the garage today... Here's the progress... Took down the torsion springs and shafts. Slatwalled the rest of the area, painted any exposed lumber with killz max, cutting out slatwall for the vertical track supports. Just need to finish that up, put the bars and springs back up, order some j channel for the edges, put in the vinyl inserts for the slatwall, then I'll finally be ready to put the openers in lol. Need to wrap up the ceiling outlets too.IMG_20181220_230538.jpg
