Got a nice set of 21" wide rear mudflaps. Looking a the install. Seems like some pretty basic fab work, but before I start that, maybe someone has already done this and has some suggestions.

Thanks folks....

Put a set on my 1500 longhorn. Easy install did not even take off back wheels. Drilled hole through fender liner to hold inside of flap. Sorry missed 21" part, mine were smaller.

Yup, for a dually. In looking at the liner, it seems fairly robust. I think I'll mount them to the liner, but use a piece of steel on the backside of the liner. So the liner will be compressed between the mudflaps and a piece of steel. The supplied self tapping screws while thread into the steel, not just the liner.

Your plan sounds solid and a good measure of security considering how big the flaps are. Post up a picture after the install!
