Getting ready to redo my gauges a little. Currently have my wide band reading on my AeroForce Interceptor gage. I like the AeroForce, but it gets busy when reading everything and I like seeing the AFR all of the time. And then there is the question of where to put extra gages. I have my transmission Line Pressure gage mounted on the floor next to the shifter. Not great but ok as I don't monitor it much. I just received a AEM Fuel Pressure pieces in today and should have a 3x "A" pillar next Tuesday along with a AEM AFR gage. This will give me Fuel Pressure, W/band and AeroForce to read pretty much everything. I'll keep the eFan LED on the column and shiftlite where they are on my current setup.

why dont you do the cubby mount for your gauges? and keep the single the way you have it... that way you can fit the other two new gauges in the cubby and you can move your tranny pressure there as well.. I have a pic somewhere if you want to see what it looks like... if you dont know already. Reason I suggest this is because personally I love the look f the srt pillar.

I can't disagree with what you suggest as your setup looks great. I use the cubby hole, so I'll give the 3x pillar a try to see if I like it or not..

Thanks,

Got some work done today. Removed the SRT pillar and w/band unit. Installed the AEM Fuel pressure sensor and new O2s for the AEM w/band. Will be using a dedicated w/band, Fuel pressure gage along with the AeroForce Interceptor for the rest of inputs. Main cables are all run and it is just installing the 3x pillar. Note: The Fuel quick disconnect on the fuel rail was a ***** to undo. Don't know why it turned free, but just didn't want to let go.

Looks good Greg. That's all I have left is to put in the fuel pressure sensor and plug it in.

One question where did you find the led your using for your efans? I'm wanting to add a similar one in my 98 but haven't been able to find one yet.

Quick question or 2 Greg. Did you use regular Teflon tape on the npt fitting? And what did you connect your led for you efan to?

Greg, where did you mount the fuel pressure sender? i mounted my glowshift fuel pressure sender on my fuel rail... and its failed on my 3 times already... I don't know if it is because of the vibrations or what... but i have spent the valve of the gauge in new sending units... and it it bugging me.

also... how much do you know about electrical circuits? i am wanting to do a similar set up as your led... but for a blue lights on the exterior and i have a few questions...

Yes, I used standard Teflon tape I had laying around. I changed my eFan temperature sensor a while ago and it has a switched ground relay setup. So I ran a 12vdc power to the LED and used the eFan relay to provide the ground. This arrangement always feels backwards to me, but is seen more often these days.
Note: When I use Teflon on fuel fittings I take care not to start the tape low on the tread as it might be cut and contaminate the fuel system.

I had a pressure sensor failure when I had one connected to my transmission Line Pressure. It was an expensive sucker and I didn't want to repeat the failure and went with a mechanical gage. As for the fuel sensor setup I just disconnected the fuel supply line from the fuel rail and used the fittings I have shown above to mount the sensor. I believe this is the standard setup.

Got everything back together. My motivation to install a Fuel pressure gage was to see if the pressure was running high as I'm getting Rich condition DTC. The gage indicates it is high as I expected something just under 58psi and I'm spiking to 63psi. So next job is to figure out what's up.

Yes, in post #5 you will see the plastic tool used to release the "quick disconnect fitting". Slip it over the tubing and press it into the connector and it will release the connector. It sometimes takes a couple of trys with a little pushing and pulling. There are also some Youtube videos showing how to release the connector. This is the same tool needed for the Trans cooler quick disconnects.
