Gear oil

I'm at 55000 miles and am going to change my own oil and differential fluid. How many quarts of differential fluid to I need to buy to do the front and back? Also cant decide if I want to go redline or amsoil. I'm going to do transmission fluid too at 60000.

Amsoil gear oil is very good and so is Redline. Both will serve you well. Go to Amsoil's web site a plug in your truck info and it will give you your fluid capability. DONT forget the red thead lock.
Your gaskets should be in good shape but you never know. Would suck to get the diff plate off and have a bad gasket. They are expensive tho.
