Gear switch out

Anyone switch out their 3.21 gears for 3.92 on Ram 1500? And any idea what I should expect to pay to have this done? Thanks

I would try posting this in the engine performance section or maybe a mod can move it there. I know the reason you want the gears is probably for towing which is why you posted it here. If you have a 2wd I think it's somewheres just north of $2000 and 4wd I'm not sure because the word is the 14's ring gear isn't welded to the diff unlike some of the older ones. If it's welded you need a completely new carrier also and that gets expensive quick. I would expect anywhere from $2000 ish for 2wd to 4500-5000 for a 4wd. But the guys in the engine/perfomance section can give you a better ball park than I can probably.

Your best bet would be finding someone with 3.92 gears who wants to swap with you and just swap full differentials. Otherwise it's going to cost you a pretty penny. You'd be looking at $1200 or so for a 2wd and $3000 or so for a 4wd.
