Hello all, got a couple of questions that I can't really pinpoint as to what sticky thread:

If I level the stance of my truck, will that affect tow capability (I feel so dumb asking that question)?

If I buy aftermarket headlight assemblies that utilize LED, will my truck recognize them or hate them as much as it does LED bulbs?

I appreciate your feedback. Cheers.

Lower your capacity, no. That said, the truck comes with the rear higher so that when you have a load it is either level or close to it. When you are leveled and put a 15k lb trailer on the back that is loaded too front heavy (purely hypothetical I promise) then you end up with your headlights pointed at the sky. It is what it is during the day but you will blind everyone at night.

No idea on the LED stuff.

I just joined a minute ago. How do I post w/o it being a reply? I read the rules but I’m still not seeing how to post new comments into the forum.

Do you have the factory projector style headlights such as a Laramie would have? From what I have read the 2015's are very difficult to upgrade and avoid issues.

Yes I have the factory projector style headlights. I did read that if I want to upgrade to an LED bulb I can buy a pair of adapters that fit between the bulb plug and the plug from the truck. I need to replace the whole assembly though because I have moisture and fog inside the lights currently. These light assemblies look like they come with an a couple of adapters:

Beamtech might be one option based on a search here. I can't seem to find the article but it made a big stink about most LED bulbs not working well or at all with the CANBUS system in the 2015's. It would be very bad to get on the highway and have your lights cut out. I went with a bright LED foglight/housing that dropped right in and has not had any errors.

I found a website called AlphaRex that sells a ton of headlight assemblies for Ram trucks. Specifically, they offer an adapter for their assemblies if you own a 2013-2018 Ram 1500 that allows their LED lights to work. If you have AlphaOBD (I just got my OBD2 MX+ yesterday) you can program daytime running lights and whatnot. Has anyone with a 2013-2018 Ram used AlphaRex? What were your thoughts? Did the headlights actually work?

I have a 2014 Laramie and I have both the front and rear LED lights from AlphaRex. I like them a lot. There is nothing I needed to do after installation to have LEDs. The electronics are setup within the headlighat and tail light.

Regarding the LED headlights. I've been running AlphaRex LED headlights in my '14 Ram 2500. I went from the factory projector style to these with no issues. The truck doesn't complain about them like it does when you put LED's in other places. They put out more light than the stock ones ever thought about. Huge improvement.
