What do you guys think about this amp?
http://vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com/ws/eB...4474&category=18795&pm=1&ds=0&t=1427858672873

I am already running the alpine mrx-m110 for my subs and I love that amp. It's pretty minimal at 55w rms x 4, but way more than I need at 170 rms bridged. Looks like it has all of the adjustability I would need for my basic setup. And it matches my other amp for a nice looking amp rack lol

be careful with HSK - their tweeters are very obtrusive.

The best would be to make them completely new crossovers with other freq cut and tweet lower level.

I actually bought the ESK series. I find the tweeter to be very well blended at 0db setting on the crossover. Did not listen to the +2db or -2db setting, but I will whenever I am able to install them. I don't plan on any modification to the passive crossovers, that is out of my league right now.

I actually really enjoyed the tweeter out of that very set, it just did everything very well. I would defiantly put the tweet in the sail as the reflection off the windshield makes some pretty peaky sounds in a lot of music.

Got a little bit done today. Ran the speaker wiring through my doors for the components to the back wall. Still deciding on my amp, and haven't ordered all the wiring or deadener yet, so I'm not making too much progress.

Here are a few pics of how I ran the wiring through the driver side in case anyone is trying to get some ideas. After pulling the boot out of the cab side, I pulled the gray plug out and ran my wiring through the gaps.

Im probably going to start on my new amp rack tomorrow if all goes well.

No not yet, still looking. I'm probably going to go with the alpine to match my other amp. I want it to match even though no one will see it, unless I show them lol

Biggest OCD problem ever. MATCHING AMPS AARRRGGG!!! lol

Yep, it got the best of me lol...I ordered the alpine late last night. I actually got the mrv-f300 instead of the mrx model though. Thanks for the info yesterday, I will keep it in mind for future projects.

Got the amp rack cut out today. I finished ordering all my wiring, deadener and amp last night with upgraded shipping. Hopefully everything shows up by Saturday and I can get this project knocked out before I go back to work Tuesday!

Looks good man! Take your time though. The quality of the install will enhance the sound as much as good components... Especially, the sound deadening. :favorites13:

Yea for sure. It will be done right. I only ordered about 30 ft2 of deadener right now. I figure that's enough to do the back wall and front two doors and probably a little left for misc. rattles like the god awful headliner console. I went with the knukonceptz sound resonance. It was the same thickness as most of the top competitors and pure butyl not asphalt, and it has good reviews.

Got the tweets mounted in the sails on axis. Figured I would mount them like this first because if I flush mounted first, I would not be able to mount on axis due to the big hole. From what I have been reading, they should sound better like this anyways. Driver side pointing at passenger seat and vice versa.

I got everything done that I can do, still waiting on my amp it should be here tomorrow. I wish I had gotten more pics, but I was in a hurry to get it done. And wife has been watching the baby all day y I was working so I tried to just get it done. I got about 60-70% deadener coverage on the door panels, inner cards and outer shell of the door. I ordered some 1/2" dynaliner to finish the doors off when I get back from work. I got 100% on the back wall but forgot to take a pic.

I also got the amp rack wired up and installed. I ran all the wires for the new amp, so all I will have to do is hook it up and screw it down. I wish I had some better pics, but this thing turned out really good!

A little messy out back, but better than messy up front!

Looks good, one thing that I would add is some techflex over the power wires as those crimp still tie downs can cut into the jacket. It helps with protecting the wire and makes everything one color.

Looks awesome man!

The tweeters match really well and look at home in the sails.

Thanks! I think they look pretty good there as well. I'm ready to fire this thing up!

Now you tell me! Haha. That would have been a great idea. But I have this thing mounted and the main power and grounds hooked up. It is a pain to take in and out, especially now. I made sure the clamps didn't cut into the jacket any while I was installing them. I got a little bit bigger clamps on all the wires, and they are plastic clamps too, so I should be ok. Nothing should be moving back there.
