It's finished! Got the alpine amp in earlier today and installed it. Tuned both my amps and WOW! It's amazing how much more sound and clarity I have now. I'm only running about 75w rms to each side on the comps until I break them in. Very happy with the outcome. I couldn't really get any good pics with the seats back in place, but it turned out really well!

Hey guys, I ordered an LCQ-1 to replace my LC2-i, and I am thinking about mounting it in the upper lid portion of my center console so I will have easy access for adjusting EQ while actually sitting in the driver seat. Do you think I may have some noise issues being the RCA's will have a lot longer distance to travel instead of being within a foot of the amps like they currently are?

Probably won't be an issue, set gains properly and it'll keep noise down in your system.

This is the best thing you can do, and the biggest mistake I made when mounting my LCQ-1 (mine was out of reach from the drivers seat)...

I had 6-12 feet of rcas running from the LCQ-1 to the amps and no noise.

Yea I hope it will do what I need. I'm falling in the trap now though, I'm going to hook up my polk 3.5" in the dash through the lcq and my amp too, to see if it helps or hurts the stage any. If it helps, I may be out some more money into some nice 3.5 mids haha

Well now people thought I was nuts for spending good money on 3.5s in the past.

I hear you man. It sounds awesome as is, but I have to try it haha. I'm hoping it sounds like **** so I won't even start looking for more speakers.

I'm sure you guys have listened to these songs in your systems but..

Pink Floyd - Money
Rush - Tom Sawyer
3 Days Grace - Chalk Outline
And several more, make me grin so hard. Definitely justifies the price for my audio build. I couldn't imagine what a dsp could do, it sounds so clean loud already.

I just listened to it on my phone, those vocal and guitar songs sound amazing in the truck. I will have to check it out tomorrow when I can crank it up a little and not **** the neighbors off:flipthebird:

Some of adele's songs that I never really cared for can give me goosebumps now ...:3638400157_e7de35b0 hahaha

Lmao! It's funny how your music styles will broaden with a good system... Here is some dynamic stuff with LOTS of bass. :naughty:

Hey David, I'm wondering if the wire colors might be the same for our trucks. You wouldn't happen to have the dash speaker + and - colors saved anywhere would you? Then again it could be totally different for regular and crew cab..

Assuming that ours are the same, this should be it.

I have the polarity for the front speakers already, ad they show to be the same colors you posted there so thats good. Maybe they are the same colors going to the dash since they are ran parallel. I will just have to check when I get in there. Thanks though!
