Think programmer instead of "chip". Hypertech & Diablosport both programmers available for your truck.
I've not used a Hypertech on any of my Ram trucks but I did use two of them on my trucks. There are options available, 3 different tunes plus other programming options for setting tire sizes, removing the top speed limiter and a host of others.

HP Tuners and a custom tune is what you want. Buy once cry once.
I wouldn't run Diablo on my lawn mower. The canned tunes are a joke, you cant make any real adjustment and it wont properly tune your trans. The pulsar is an even bigger POS.
