Has anyone installed a hydrogen generator on their 5.7 ram? If so, does it work? What brand?

What are you trying to accomplish?

If you are looking for fuel economy gains, it's snake oil. Electrolysis to split hydrogen from water molecules takes more energy to accomplish than burning the resulting hydrogen releases even with the absolute purest water. Any contaminants in the water just makes it even less efficient.

Think of it this way: The military would have adopted it years ago if it worked. The logistics of fueling is a major headache, especially in times of fast operational tempo. Hydrogen requires a lot of electricity up front to work, and if you're getting that from your alternator the extra drag is using more gas than you're saving burning the resulting hydrogen.

Sounds reasonable. If it worked, a lot more people would be using it before I found out about it. Thank you.

NP. Hydrogen is workable, but you need a big source of really cheap electricity to make it economically viable. If you had a big solar set up and had excess generated power with no means to store it, for example. Then you can make "green" hydrogen from water. "Blue" hydrogen is made from natural gas and steam but obviously that's out of reach of home brewing. "White" hydrogen is from a naturally occurring source of trapped pure hydrogen underground, but nobody has yet tapped a significant source of it, though some reserves have been allegedly located. White hydrogen is the best bet for making it cheap enough to be a viable energy source, but we'll see if it ever pans out.

Japan is a probably the perfect market for it. Nuclear power, no oil of their own, everything has to be imported. Even with that, they can't make it cheaper than regular ol' gasoline or diesel yet.
