That is All Interesting Reading. …and I don’t mean to be critical of your diligence….But, you will still feel violated when your stuff is stolen…. And IF and When you ever get it back…it will have been Abused and Mistreated by the Thieves.I installed a gun vault in my console. Plus, what I am carrying on me. I have commercial grade IA cameras (facial recognition, Plate recognition and audio) around the house. There are also cameras inside my truck that notify me of movement. I have mil spec night vision, Star Light and IR are wonderful things. They can run but they will only die tired!!!! And my dog will eat what is left on the ground. Not paranoid, just prepared!!!!!!!! Oh don't **** off my wife either.
Discouraging and Recording the thievery is not the same as Preventing it.
A gun-vault is merely another cheap lock in a vehicle to which they already have access.
BTDT. By the time the thief and the police and prosecutors were finished with it…. it was permanently damaged.
So, I’ve changed my modus operandi.
Also, I never want to interrupt an on-going theft and be confronted by my own firearm in the hands of the miscreant.
As a responsible (and jealous) owner, my firearms are Never left where theives or children will find access to them. They are either With Me….or locked up in a Serious-Safe….not merely a child-resistant cabinet that resembles one.
This is not intended as a critique…. but only as a recommendation.
