3 weeks ago placed my order with a unnamed company. Today I got an email stating the wheels I ordered are now on back order. There website states I should have been informed within 2 days if this was going to happen. Needless to say I told them I would go with wheel B which is $100 more which I have no problem paying but here is the kicker. They want me to pay $500 more for the exact same tires because wheel B isnt apart of the same package. Now call me crazy but good business to me would be we f*d up and we're 3 weeks late telling you we didnt have your wheels so we are going to eat the cost on the tires and only charge you the difference in the wheels since we didnt inform you in a timely manner. RANT OVER

This is getting to be a problem with company A, several of the forums have complaints about them. I'd cancel the order on principle and if they try to charge a restocking fee just get your cc company/PayPal to reverse the charges.

Good rant. I totally agree that the business should have stood up on the customer service line of this matter and made it right.

So are you going to wait it out until the wheels you originally ordered are available (for the package price of course) or are you going to escalate this with the company management?

Plan to escalate. If they don't make it right I'll get my refund along with spread the word on how they operate. Also may put in a word with the better business bureau.

I would cancel and tell them to stick it and look for a better company to purchase the rims even if it cost a little more

Forgot to mention I ordered my second choice on wheels because the 1st choice was on back order. ended up ordering the ax1.1 (brushed). Both were 24x12s. Now if they make it right it will be the ax6.2 in a 24x14 which I really wanted a 12 wide but... judging by how it's going I'll be getting a refund anyway. Any good recommendations for where to get wheels besides the very known company lol

Anything made in China or has parts made from China are going to be hard, if not impossible, to get. Shipping from China is at a standstill.


Disregard if wheels aren't from china.

I noticed prices are up too. My Moto Metal M0970s were $181 a piece from Tirerack, now list at $256. Chaching!

I was about to order wheels and tires from company A in a couple of weeks.

think I might still get the wheels but order the tires from somewhere else.

Both the largest OE and aftermarket casting foundries are China, poor time to purchase a wheel unfortunately.

Sounds like CO had the bug within their organization, be considerate since you already have wheels and tires. Furthest thing from essential I’ve heard a complaint about yet

I've been considerate. Taking 3 weeks past the time to inform me of the issue is not a covid problem they were closed for 3days for that and it was understandable. And as far as not essential they were open and they accepted my payment. Most states required to be listed as an essential business to remain open so anything beyond that 3 days is absolutely fair game.

Rant... totally understandable. A great deal of us are in the same boat. As stated earlier, China. I have ordered from 3 different vendors in the last 6 weeks. Prices are up, delays, & cancellations. If it were me & my current tires have tread, I would cancel & wait. Things will stabilize eventually.

I think that's why I am so mad my current tires have very low tread. My fault but i was expecting the new set up to be here because we planned to take the TT to the beach the 1st week of june. Really dont want to buy an additional set of tires.
