GPS doesn't work

With only 1300 km on my 2018 Ram 1500 sport the GPS doesn't know where I am. Took it into the dealership today and they ended up ordering a replacement audio unit. Should I be worried?

Had mine replaced too. It worked fine for over a year then one day it said I was driving through the middle of a field. Went to Chatauqua Lake (NY) and it said I was in the middle of Lake Erie...lol. Did a Google search and found someone say to turn the key off then on then open your drivers door for 30 seconds then close it then drive in a tight circle clockwise for 5 revolutions...lol. So I called the Panasonic number in the unit and the guy had me do that same thing...lol. But it didn't work...lol. Took it to the dealer and they ordered me a new one. Dropped it off and they called me a few hours later and it was done. That was about 6 months ago and it is still good

If the next one does the same its likely the antenna or antenna harness...

Replaced mine 2 years ago said I was 200 miles from actual location. Today doing same thing dealer need to replace radio and not under warranty. Wrong. Ram needs to figure why this keep happening. The whole uconnect/radio system sucks. My 2015 was great. Going back to Chevy if Ram can not figure this out. $60k for a truck and this crap.

Sometimes i see the pickup truck icon is about a mile away from where i am actually at

I don't believe that it is a radio or antenna fault

I believe that the company that makes the maps, made a mistake in the programming

If you look at the download site, the Company is www.HERE.com
If i recall correctly, the it is a part of Navigation.com & Mother company is Nokia

You are going to say that I am crazy ...but just like the garage door opener ... LEDs can cause the navigation system to go crazy or be off as well ... lol ...

I had to drive down the street about 10 city blocks
Just before i left my driveway, i pushed on the radio Navigation button.
The pickup icon shown as being right in front of my place, so far so good
I drove west down the road & i had a 1/2 eye on the Nav screen, i was doing about 30 MPH & the nav icon was going 150 MPH & the icon was going south by southwest.

So i reached my destination, about 10 blocks from my place & just for the hell of it, i pushed the Home button as a destination.
It did the routing thing & i pressed the OK button, the guidance map came up & showed me as being 15 miles from Home !!

By the way, it was 5PM & the sun was blindingly bright & i was not wearing a Hoodie

I have been using my iphone maps for driving directions lately anyway. Just plug it into my truck and set my destination in my phone.

I replaced my 10 year old flip phone, with a brand new flip phone from a company called Sonim. I finally figured out how to turn it On after several visits to the phone store

I hope you have better luck with the sonim phone than we do at work. Thats what the company bought for the supervisors. I have seen 4 of them so far thrown out of a moving truck, or across a room, or into the ore pile i was digging out of. They kept freezing up age would require multiple attempts to restart before they would be back working normal. Lol
There were 8 phones originally, i believe only one is still usable after 2 years. They were all replaced with basic samsung a5 phones.

I just have the Sonim flip phone, the XP3, i think
As much time as i have spent trying to figure it out, i don't even want to think about a Smart Phone, like XP5 or XP7 or whatever it is., they always have their face in the smart phone. i bet that could not give directions, without looking at their phone for answers
