Grease for Cardan Joint

Hello RF Buds,

Quick question has anyone used this grease? I am aware to use certified NLGI 2 grease just wanted your input or should I just buy the Lucas NLGI 2 lithium grease.

I assume the cardan calls for MOPAR Type MS-6560 (lithium-based grease). I would use what is called in the OM. A lot of opinions like stick to that, it doesn't matter, one brand or type better over all others.

If the OM calls out one specification, I go with that.

Ive used it on cardan joints on any make and any u joint.I have it in my private stock now.

Just called my local Ram Dealer to see if this Lithium Grease is in stock, was told they no longer carry it, said to get another Lithium grease, Asked for some substitute part number etc and got nothing, anyone face this same problem, If so would appreciate any feedback, Thanks Brian

Any lithium grease works. Mopar doesnt make their own lubricants. They use the cheapest vendor. Till that price goes up.

Mopar is currently using whatever Shell Oil sells them

Shell Oil has the Lubricants Contract & has since 2013
