Greetings from Indiana. I traded in my '04 Dakota quadcab last month for a new '19 Ram 2500 Tradesman crewcab long bed. This past fall we went from a pop-up to a 26' travel trailer, so we needed to upgrade the truck! So far I am liking the Ram. There is some adjusting I am having to get used to with the longer wheelbase and this spring I'll need to also get used to the longer truck & trailer combo.

My wife gave me a hard time about having to get a 3/4 ton and an 8' bed, but it will be nice to be able to fit things in the back with the tailgate closed and I've heard from many other campers how they wished that they bought a 3/4 ton instead of a 1/2 ton because they feel like they are maxing out their truck pulling the camper and all of their stuff. This is actually the first time I got rid of a vehicle that I could have gotten a few more years of use out of. Usually I am taking it to the junkyard or I am selling it/trading in to someone who will be doing it for me.

I am one of those people, who bought a 3/4 ton and needed a one ton. Be careful, if you go to too many RV shows, you too will need a bigger truck! Congrats on the new sled. Love the RAMs as well.
