Joined a few weeks ago and now here I am.
Originally from NYC (Queens), now living in Las Vegas. On my 3rd Ram truck in 25 years. I had a 96 Std. Cab 2WD 5.2L that I had to trade in as the trans was going south in a hurry and cost to fix it out weighed the value. Traded it in on a 2004 Ram 1500 SLT Quad Cab 5.7L Hemi 2WD. Had that truck for 17 years and put 202,000 miles on it. Ended up getting in a wreck and totaling it. Sucks, since I had just done a bunch of work on it, including rebuilding the rear end. Insurance company ony gave me 7 days of rental since they totaled the truck.
Found my current truck, 2011 Ram 1500 Sport 4x4. Had 132,000 miles on it when I bought it in June 2023. Now has 140,000 on it. Been fixing/upgrading it little by little.
Replaced the Water pump, Serpentine Belt, Idler pulley, tensioner pulley, thermostat, hoses
Put Running boards/nerf bars on
Added a back up camera
Added a cabin air filter kit (really makes a difference)
Changed all the Ram emblems to black, since previous owner painted them black
Put new headlights with LED bulbs on
New tires, rear brakes and rear shocks (Bilstein 4600), still need to do the fronts
Rear differential service
Fixed upper console lid latch
Hopefully this weekend I'll be doing Trans service, Front Differential, Transfer Case, Spark Plugs and Coils.
