Albertan at at 5 F. Sweater goes on at -5 or so. What we call cold is -55, and yes, you can tell if you have shutters or not by how fast it warms up. You can also tell on the highway if you don't have them.
There's 2 sides to the shutters, just make sure you leave 1 top and 1 bottom shutter in place on each side, the middle ones you can remove.Removing just 2 isn't gonna do much, either leave them alone or remove all the middle ones.Thank you all for the info. I may just pop out 1 or 2 and see the results. It's the easy way to start there.
Recently, it seems that the Mr Gasket thermostat seems to be the most reliable. I installed a 160.I seem to remember the consensus that all 180 aftermarket tstats are crap, are there any decent options?
I believe I had a Mr Gasket in my 2016 just like my 2022. Got them from moes-performance.comI seem to remember the consensus that all 180 aftermarket tstats are crap, are there any decent options?
If you lived near me, you could have my entire assy, less the motor. Just sitting in the garage gathering dust, along with the air intake filter box, intake air ducting, plastic engine cover, radiator fan shroud and clutch fan.I went to put my shutters back in and can't find them Grrrrrr
When running an electric only fan, having a few removed helped keep temps stable. Currently running both fans again and wanted to see how it responded with all of the shutters in again. Hard to believe that I would have thrown them out, probably like everything else I will find them when I'm looking for something else - that I won't be able to find at that time. hahaha
