Every once in a while, when starting my truck, 2016/1500, it has a grinding noise. It’s almost like when you try to start a car that’s already started. Any idea of what it could be? As soon as I figure out how to post a video, I will!

Sounds like starter pinon gear not dis-engaging. Don't be surprised if U have to put in a new starter, IMHO..............

Check the battery and the battery cables (voltage drop)? Possible low voltage causing a half engagement. In any case in is always a good idea to check the battery and cables first. Let us know what you find.

Is the starter staying engaged after starting or not engaging while trying to start? Hope the starter hasn't gone out on a 2016. Is it still under warranty?
