Just had some golf ball sized hail fall for about 20-30 minutes. I moved the truck under a tree as best I could but the hail had so much momentum it didn't even matter. The hood has at least 30 dents. The front driver side quarter panel has a few dents and the rear quarter panel is the same.

For every dent you can see there is 2-3 more

I don't even 1000 miles on it yet... :bawl:

Oh well... I guess this is what you have insurance for :33:

Insurance company will probably replace the hood. As Jay said, a good PDR guy can take care of those cab dings.

That sucks man! Sorry you gotta deal with that now. Those are the biggest hail stones I have ever seen.

If I recall correctly, the show MythBusters did a test and proved that a vehicle dimpled like a golf ball actually got slightly better fuel mileage than one that was not dimpled...

So will the insurance company only cut a check for the hood (minus the deductible)? I do know of a good PDR guy in my area. I'll probably want to schedule him soon if I want to get it repaired this decade (all of my neighbors got wrecked).

... That is definitely looking at the bright side haha

This is the first time I have ever seen hail like this (that size and sustained) but we do usually get a few smaller hailstorms each year.

Two large hail storms in the last couple of weeks. I am watching channel 13(Co. Springs) now and see the storms as they pass over you. Good luck with that.

Sorry man. That's a frequent recurring nightmare of mine. Had 22k hail damage to the house year before Ram showed up.

I'm considering a metal canopy..

Wow that’s crazy, I have always heard them say golf ball size but damn you have proof.

That is crazy. Mother nature's death from above. I'm surprised your windshield isn't cracked.

Holy ****. Sorry to see that on anyone's vehicle, but especially such a new one. I always get paranoid during the summer when you see those ********* clouds coming in. Hail is a real *****.

The insurance company will pay to fix all of it. He is saying the can replace the hood but will have to pop the other body dents out. As long as you pay your deductible, youll be good. I do recommend reporting it asap so that an adjuster can be assigned to you quickly before everyone else in your area with your carrier calls and you fall down the list. Here in our area a couple weeks ago there was tennis ball sized hail. But yours is pretty damn bad too. Good luck.
