Hello everyone! I have a 2012 RAM 2500 HD 4WD Crewcab ST 5.7 HEMI with 153962 miles. I noticed the problem about a month ago. Late winter/early spring in NM. Not that cold here. I went to start it and it took two, longer than usual cranking try’s to start, but it started. It has gradually gotten worse up to seven cranking tries now and when it finally starts, it stumbles, almost stalls and then comes to life. After researching the problem I settled on three possibilities. 1, fuel pump not holding prime, pressure regulator not holding prime or a leaking injector not holding prime. I changed the fuel pump out (OEM) last March 2021, been running fine since, until this started. I couldn’t find a pressure regulator and vague research has lead me to believe that, on this truck, it’s located within the fuel pump. Is that correct? 3) So I bought a new set of injectors (OEM) and plugs and changed them out. Started hard at first as expected due to the system being apart. Then fired strong and smoother than before. Drove around town the rest of the afternon. It started fine every time, about 10 starts or so. This morning, it’s the same old hard start problem. Before I take it to the shop and open my wallet, I’m hoping I can get some more ideas from y’all on here. TIA-Larry
