Ok, so it started getting hot here (in the 90s) and this just started happening yesterday
Get up in the morning to go to work, and I notice that it is a little harder to start than normal. Usually fires right up, but yesterday morning it spun for a good 2-3 seconds before firing. The rest of the day fired right up, like normal, no problem....
This morning go to leave again for work, and same issue...2-3 seconds of the starter spinning and then fires...Get to work, shut off the truck, and try to restart it....no issues...fires right up.
Truck has 99600 on the clock. No smell of gas in the morning when it is hard to start...No check engine light, Dash gauges all normal.
Any ideas where to start before throwing money at it?

Fuel pressure related? Try turning key on but don't start for a few seconds. Let the fuel pump pressurize. Not sure if it will help, but it's a start.

I had what sounds like the same problem with my old '97 and letting the fuel pump run for a second before I started her for the first time each day worked just fine.

Well, I think there was a little water in the last tank. I added a bottle of gas treatment, and have not had a problem since.
