Had my truck custom tuned last week. Turned 8/6/4 mds off. Turned traction control off. Turned too speed limiter off. Truck isn’t really any faster but it will spin tires now. Throttle response is still lacking responsiveness. Truck just won’t drift worth a damn! It’s not responsive enough to really drift well and truck is always looking to want to shift into a higher gear. Truck makes more power than my old 5.3 Chevy but the Chevy is way funnier to drive and will throw much better donuts.

Who did your tune?

I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but man, do they ever come up with some great ideas.

Your tune may or may not be the problem, but I do not have a tune yet and I swear by this! Completely changed my truck...

PC definitely improves throttle response, but since you're already up inside the PCM, you can increase throttle gain up to 20% with the 'handheld device' and your Tuner person can increase throttle gain also leaving the full 20% of change available thru the 'hand held'.

After Jay or Sean tuned my truck I never felt the need to add more gain and I never put my PC back on. I straight burned my 35 MTs off, sideways most of em went, and itll do it to my 37 MTs but since I just threw $2700 at five km3 tires, I figure I'm gonna try my damnedest to keep it to the dirt, but dang - rear drift, hemi scream'n, wife scream'n and pee'n, how does one put a dollar value on that? Let em burn!
**** here she comes.....

'16 PWagon with a badass Greene tune feed'n & fire'n 6.4L with 6spd // 5.13 AAM // 37" KM3, -12mm // DOR, Purple Cranium // CAI, ARH, Solo Mach44 // z36, EBC // Custom Graphics, AVS, 4% VLT // Morimoto, Rigid, Diode Dynamics // Alfa, Diablo //.................

If your truck isn't any faster and it lacks "responsiveness" you need to be on the phone to your tuner. Also, a Pedal Commander will work very well with your custom tune, however, you need to tell your tuner you have a Pedal Commander.

I was thinking the same thing but didn't say it because I haven't been through yet.
As you know I have the pedal commander(love it) and I just got a Diablo T-1000.
I've heard many people say the combination between a tune and the pedal Commander are fantastic. Even better than boosting the pedal response 20%....
I can't elaborate on this yet but I'm excited to mess around with her! Especially with a new Jasper engine in her!!!

Gonna have to fish in these streams a little better than comparing a 5.3 to a tuned Hemi.

What octane, a bone stock 87 tuned truck isn’t going to wow you unless you have the 8 speed TCM combo. Plus having an open diff and stability control on will not perform donuts well
