I have a 2013 Ram 1500 express. Reg cab 4x4 with 3.55's. I have to haul 2,000 lbs of drywall tomorrow. Can the suspension of the truck handle it? I've had it slammed full of fire wood several times. It sagged a little bit but the truck handled the load fine. I really don't want to have to make 2 trips but if I have to I will.

Yeah, but its going to look like a dog dragging its ass on the carpet. Take it easy on bumps and while driving and keep lots of stopping distance. I assume this is for a short trip?

Some hardware stores won't even load that into a half ton for liability reasons.

Yeah it won't be a very long distance. 3 or 4 miles at the most. I used to have a Dakota R/T and I've had it filled with gravel and patio block and it handled it ok. Like you said, I'm just gonna have to take it easy.

I'll bet when they start loading it you won't be happy with it. If they are loading it as one pallet make sure you are there and they set it down slowly. Tell them to be ready to pick it back up if you tell them to. The sag will surprise you.

2 trips.
Even though your Dakota was a smaller truck, it had leaf springs; your Ram has comfy coil springs which are softer. Make 2 trips.

It'll only sag to the bump stops. Been there.
It's bad, but not horrid.

Going to ride/drive like crap.
Use Tow/Haul mode so you get some engine braking in there too!

Just make two trips IMO unless you have the air bags. The suspension is part of your problem but the factory wrangler tires won't do you any favors it will be very unstable with that much weight on the soft sidewalls.

Ps. I have had about 1300lbs of wood and concrete in my qc4x4 and it sagged it was nose high not level and that's not even max payload.

Go to your dealer and tell them youre thinking of trading it in for a 2500 or 1 ton and test drive it to home depot or wherever to get drywall :) Better yet......do trade it. My dealer is the coolest one I have ever seen. No pressure , great deals and let me test drive by myself of course any truck I want. Just drove a 2500 and waiting for them to receive a 1 ton diesel that is in transit so I could test that. Thinking of trading my half ton cause I didn't buy enough truck

Sorry didn't see the part about 4 miles max. I still would not want to put that much stress on my suspension but tires won't be a issue for 3-4 miles

Just do 2 trips, it won't add that much time for that short of distance...

Here is a pic of my cc sport doing 25 12x12 walkway pavers. Sagged a lot but was manageable for the 7 mile trip home

i put 2k in the bed of my lifted chevy 1500 once.. it was only for 2 miles... " i cant belive i didn't break anything" " Scarryyy" On a different note.. put the same 2k pounds in the bed of my 6.4.. 120 miles later.. that ***** could take it all day long and still pass what ever it wants when it wants. And look good doing it. : )
