Hey guys... I'm new to the forum and I haven't been able to find the right information. Here is the problem I am having. I have a completely random flicker/ cut out with my headlights. I have a 2016 Ram express with the quad halogen lamps. The said problem will happen completely at random, this cut out is about a half second in duration. A little back story on this, I had a 2015 Ram express that was bought back by Chrysler for this same issue under the lemon laws. I really don't want to deal with another 9 months of legal battles over this again...... So I am asking if anyone here has had this same issue and if it got fixed what was the solution?

This is due to the computer doing a random "check" on the headlight circuit for the correct resistance / capacitance. During that time, it will shut off the lights, and turn them back on. Typically in a halogen setup.....its not seen, but....some report that they do see it. Not really a lot that can be done, as its in the programming of the computer.....

Thank you for this information. Aside from being annoying currently, is there any kind of possible fix? I am also looking to convert from quads to projectors, will this affect a conversion to projectors and HIDs in the future? Will it have a negative impact on functionality or would this possibly be smoothed out with the conversion?

With any luck, the proper relay harness providing power directly off the battery will solve your problems when you go hid.
