Headlight question

I noticed that when the headlights are on in my 2004 Ram 1500 my parking lights are on also, are they supposed to be? TIA!

Yep. First notch on the switch turns on the running lights before anything else. Then they stay on through the rest of the click/s. Fog lights are a pull, but running lights come on first.

Every American vehicle since the 50's pretty much operates that way....................................
