Headlight tab broken

Not sure if this is correct section, please move if needed.

I recently bought a pair of headlights, was promised they were perfect, turns out not so much. I went to install today and one of the two tabs that you screw onto the body is missing. The headlight is fairly secure in there between the bottom screw and the back lock. However I would still like to come up with something to make the stop section of the light secure. Tab is totally gone so no chance of somehow reattaching. Ideas?

Maybe get a piece of plastic, cut it to size, drill a hole to put the screw though, and epoxy bond it to the headlamp?

Or cut the tab off your old lights?

Depends how handy you are, but I would go to a local store and get some aluminum and fabricate a new tab. I would either use an epoxy, screw or combination of the two to attach it. Any chance you could send it back where you got it and get an unbroken one?

Thanks guys. I can't send em back it was a Craigslist deal. He had them well wrapped and it was pouring when I got them. I checked the one and it was perfect, that'll teach me.

I thought about cutting tab off my current lights but don't want to ruin them. I think I'm going to try and epoxy a tab on there somehow. Is there any specific epoxy I should use?
