Hello All!
New the forum, coming in from Southern Alberta
Been chasing a long cranking issue ONLY when the outside ambient temp is above 25 deg Celsius and truck has sat for atleast 8hours
Have had truck looked at by like 4-5 different mechanics now as I been chasing this issue for a few years.
Resulting in getting a new starter in February this year.
Then new fuel rail pressure sensor- still issue
Then a fuel pump - still issue
Then evap leak detection pump - still issue
Then evap purge valve - still issue
When I changed out the evap purge valve the truck had been sitting for a full week with the battery disconnected and I could smell fuel once I removed the air intake off the throttle body and the throttle body was a bit dirty.
Any input what may be causing this lo g crank only when it’s hot outside and truck has sat? Never any CEL or stored codes. Truck will just crank crank crank for 5-10 seconds and fire up
No issue on cool days
Cheers
