Hi there this is my first time here and was wondering if I could get some help I have a 2nd 2002 4 door dodge 1500 that I am having trouble with I've replaced spark plugs and fuel pump because was told it was the problem I have trouble starting my truck it cranks than when turns over smells like raw gas any help would be greatly appreciated..

To help narrow things down a bit, a few general questions:

- How many miles on the truck? What engine (says 4.7 in your profile, but always good to say it)?

- Is your "check engine" light on? If so, try going to AutoZone and having them use their code-reader to find out what it's complaining about. Usually, that part's free, but there's kind of an expectation that you'll buy the parts to fix it from them.

- Did it just start doing that all of a sudden, or did it start doing it a little at a time and get gradually worse? How long ago did it start?

- Did you repair, change, or do anything to the truck right before it started doing that? Did it do anything else unusual right before or right after this started?

- Any mods to the engine? If so, what specifically?
