4 months of doing research on various lift kits. Do I Level or Lift? How much do I lift? After reading reviews, watching install videos and watching review videos I have finally narrowed it down to two companies for a lift.

BDS and Superlift

Only going up 4" due to some height issues in the area. Plus I have some vertically challenged friends.

Both are showing great reviews. The biggest "downside" to BDS I'm seeing is that it is a stiff ride with the Fox 2.0 shocks. However their warranty seems to be hands down the greatest.

So what should it be?
BDS with Fox 2.0 or Superlift with Bilstein 5100s

Just need a little push, haha.

Not looking to go off roading to much, definitely not severe off road. 90% of my driving is simple roads and highway.

Both will do what you are asking. There is absolutely nothing wrong with super lift. It basically comes down to how much you want to spend, and do you want bilstien or fox.

Zone 4” with Bils set at 1.4” and the 3” rear springs on 35’s .... Fits in a 7’ garage door, and most parking decks ... Zone is the sister company to BDS0047f4f2a08203d098883bddd6464844.jpg

Don’t get the 4” kit, get the BDS 6” kit with 3” rear coils, but don’t install the front strut preload spacer. This will give you 5” front lift and add 3” to the rear which should leave you approx 3/4” rake which is perfect. This keeps your front struts completely stock for a smooth ride, or add Bilsteins set at zero if you like. The BDS also includes extended length stainless braided brake lines so there’s no cutting of the brake line mount nor bending/stretching of the brake hard lines. The fox rear shocks ride great on mine but you can go cheap and get oil shocks. I cruise on the Texas highways at 90-95 with ease, rides better than my wife’s Charger RT.

@FF1899 can vouch for this setup

That I can. After a trying a few different things I went with the same option. I have the adjustable eibach pro struts up front set to 0 6 inch kit without the preload icon shocks in the back. I went with the zone kit so no fancy braided lines but the rest is the same. 3 inch in the rear. Left me with .75 rake and sits beautifully on 35 12.5 20 with 22x12 -44 offset. Can go with bigger tires if you wanted with less offset on the rims but I absolutely love the set up and look. 20190629_101011.jpg 20190628_095916.jpg 20190406_182813.jpg

Thanks I appreciate that, I only suggested the 6” set at 5” versus a 4” kit you asked about because 95% of our members with the 4” kit always add the adjustable height Bilsteins set at 0.7 or 1.4 added preload height or set their Superlift Bilsteins to that height which brings you to what I suggested with no preload. They do this to reduce the rake.

As stated above, get a 6” kit and leave out the front preload, you can thank us all later!

BDS or Superlift............go with what makes you feel better. I like my Superlift, never ran BDS. The only thing I’ll throw out there is the 3” coils I have absolutely handle weight WAY better than stock, IMHO they are REALY good!

You're talking about the 6" coil over right not the other 6" one?

No the coilover version doesn't use preload spacers or top spacers of any kind. I'm referring to the basic 6" kit P/N 671H that uses a 5" top spacer in addition to a preload spacer that requires disassembly of the oem strut assembly. By leaving the preload spacer out this yields a 5" lift and a smooth ride. You can still add front bilsteins but just set them at zero lift height.

I recommend 6” beds with the fox. I have the Fox coilovers and my truck rides as close to a Cadillac as a truck can. It still pulls great, hauls pretty alright bad drives beautifully. I started with a 4” and converted to 6” because of the cv axle angle. Also if your considering a lift or a level kit then you need to lift. You won’t be happy with a level if your looking for a lifted look and will either be unhappy or end up spending more to lift it in the end.
