I took mine apart once. You just have to carefully pry up pn the plastic part... Not sure if theres really a correct way to take it apart, I broke a couple of the tabs but it still went back together fine

im really curios on what the clips look like and what you think the best way to pop them loose without breaking them is. Thanks. The old interior just wont match my new seats so its going to have to change with them.

crap i dont think i took pics of the clips, but the best bet is pull up a little on the plastic around the bottom to kinda pin point the clips then get a small flat metal object in there and push towards the middle of the lid and carefully pull up.

could you tell what style of clip it is? I assume they are plastic so do they at least break in a spot that would make it easy to JB weld them back on?

hmm how to explain these... well the part thats on the actual lid is kinda like a v clamp and the tab on the plastic piece is like a j sorta so when the tab goes down it clicks in and yea they usually break right at the end the start of the hook so they would break if you tried to take them off again but you could just re glue them. just dont try to man handle it lol just get a flat blade screwdriver in there and gently pry up and push towards the center

so the clip only "grabs" from one side? its not a style that has two prongs that need to be pushed together?

no cause how this thing is put toghther you would never be able to push them both together. so just one and the hook faces towards the outside of the lid

If I remember correctly, there are staples in there also. Someone sat on my lid and cracked it so I took it apart to try to fix it. I had a lot of the clips break as well.
