Help finding a front bumper

Hey guys

so i have a 2016 ram 1500. i finally was able to plastidip my front grille, and front/rear bumpers black. I LOVE it. i have the black sparkly metallic paint and i think it just looks amazing. I really want to get black bumper and grille for the truck cause obviously plastidip isnt permanent and i know that i paint wont hold up well on the chrome. I have located a rear bumper on EBAY for $250, a grille for $200, but i CAN NOT find a complete front bumper ANYWHERE on ebay, amazon, or craigslist. I want a prepainted gloss black one or even a prepainted matte black one (if i can find a matched rear bumper). I wouldnt mind getting the Addictive Desert Design (ADD) Lite tube front bumper but its like $850. I would much rather prefer the stock bumper in gloss black though especially one that has the stock fog light cut outs. So where can i find these at?

Try a junk yard. We have a huge one near us . Jbap (jerry browns auto parts) they may have a wrecked truck with good bumpers. Worth a shot! Then get em painted . However I got mine painted over chrome ... holding up pretty good. I had the paint shop scuff the chrome so the paint holds better . But I don't drive my truck too much either . It's a 2015 with 13k

ADD lite is the way to go! Looks sick all blacked out, $788 is a great price for an american made offroad bumper

DANG! that black one looks SICK! I havent seen that one floating around yet. I have a black truck right now and have some 20x12 rims with 33" tires on it that stick out nice and far. They would look really good with that ADD lite bumper. Just need to convince myself to shell out $800. I would be just as happy with a $200 black stock bumper and it would save me money for a lift

But you dont have to buy new bumpers ,
Chrome can be prepped. For paint
scuff pad , clean it real good with pre cleaner or lacquer thinner
Spray it with 3m bull dog
And add color.

Another advantage of going to an aftermarket bumper is more clearance for wide setups like your x12s

3M bulldog is an adhesive , thats what is used on plastic bumpers , for paint to stick and not crack or peel off
same thing can be used on your chrome bumpers
they remove the bumpers go over it with a scuff pad or light sand paper, ones the shine is off the chrome , clean it real good with pre-cleaner or lacquer thinner , add bulldog wait a bit and shoot paint , it wont come off again

From what ive gathered..... i can use this bumper Painted Black Steel Front, Lower Bumper for 2014-2015 Ram 1500 - CH1002399 | eBay... all i need to do is buy this and then my upper valance and lower valance will unbolt/ unattach from my current bumper and reattach to this bumper?

I purchased a rear one for my truck I really like it and stock pieces attach right up

thanks... yea i kind of went out and looked at my truck and looked at some How To's on Youtube last night and this seems like what i want. i think im going first though im going to take all of the plastidip off, sand the chrome down, clean it really well, prime it and spray it with gloss black paint and see if i can get it to hold up well. If it ends up not holding well or turns out crappy im just going to drop the money to get the new front/ rear bumpers.

it actaully looks REALLY good plastidipped... i did the grille too. The more im looking at it the more im thinking about leaving it. ive been through about 6 car washes and its held up great. i think im going to wait and work a little over time and get some money built up and then buy the pre-painted front/rear black steel bumper and get a different gloss black grille. But for now IDK if im going to go through the hasssle of peeling it off, sanding it, and painting it.
