turbo diesel libertys are going for under 12000 with 60 k miles motor is good for 400000

argue with those facts

cut the muffler off jack it up put a push bar on it make it look sick as hell and still feel some what like man

Older Mk.4 Volkswagen Jetta Tdi with the 5 speed. My buddy has one and he has a new exhaust, CAI, chip, gutted cat, gutted egr and new injectors. All are relatively cheap mods and driving the **** outta it he still manages 45 mpg. Its a fun little car and now it rolls coal like a cummins. I would for sure rock one and those motors last for ever just change the oil and especially the fuel filter religiously and you will have a great way to get around for cheap and still have some fun.

90 miles each way? **** man, I would seriously think about either getting rid of the truck and/or buying a hybrid/electric vehicle. That's just too much money!

Yeah, it is actually 87 miles from my house to the parking lot at work.

yes new 5.0
Just finished doing one up at dads shop. Put the Roush 2300 blower on it, methanol injection, smaller blower pulley with a JDM tune, Kooks full long tube headers and exhaust kit, eibach lowering kit, wheels, tires, graphics and hood and truck flat blacked. Oh. My. ****. I want it.

Man keep the truck buy a new KIA or civic something around a 10 to 15 k range note with insurance would be around 350 to 400 will cut you gas bill to maybe 600 a month still leave you with.700 a.month extra to play with OR pay the car off and put 1100 a month back in the bank. I commute 1hr 40 min one way and roll a s10 it gets about 23mpg

Also no one to carpool with ?

No one in my area that is working the same hours. Most people work 12 hour shifts 2 days on 2 off 3 on 3 off, but I am a salary engineer working Monday through Friday about 8 to 9 hours a day

Find a job that is much closer! ... lol Damn, that job would have to pay pretty good to drive that much every day.

Buy a car and keep the truck, with what your paying for gas, a low car payment for a car would still save you a bundle every month.

+1. Keeping my Ram as a show only vehicle pays my car payment on my Honda.

Another option is to look on Craig's List, buy a beater. I was running a Stratus till i bought my Fit.

Brotha, I am feeling the SAME pain! I don't have as much of a commute, as far as work goes.... but when Im not working I stay out and about.

Besides the gas KILLING me, Im kinda bored with the truck. I love it, get all kindsa compliments on it (which I think is kinda odd....), but its a complete dog, NO real power, no real point in modding the 4-7, and Im kinda gunshy about wheelin it too much, I know how **** happens, especially with me manning the wheel :D

Im personally either thinking of outright selling the truck (the smartest), trading it in on another mustang (what I wanna do), or trading in the truck for something else for the wife and I drive the Durango (which still only gets 12-13mpg).

Im gonna lose my ass pretty much unless I sell it outright. It books at around $19k, I owe $17.9k, so I would pray for $18k from some kid who sees tires and blue lights :D I hate to do it, but a $341 truck payment with a $400+ gas bill = stupid. IMO.

Edit: I know I could get a beater..... but my heart is at the dragstrip... Got my eye on a 99 Cobra vert, already full bolton - lt's :D

Bear,
I I remember right there is a older model black convertible in Evergreen that had a for sale sign on it. It looked quick.

Greg... 'Preciate it. If its lowered on weld wheels... I believe I know the car you're speaking of......

Rus... Hate to hear you've come to the decision, but like I said I fully understand. Honestly, the only reason I haven't tried to sell it yet is because of the rear bumper and some other incidents of "whoops" that I have yet to fix. Damn bumpers are $300+ used!!
