Hi all! I'm new here...I have a plug attached to the passenger side of my engine bay unplugged and I am hoping somebody can help me identify what this connector is for/leads to. I have attached some photos. 99 ram 2500 5.9 v8 360

I believe that is the front wheel ABS speed sensor plug. When the truck is not equipped with 4 wheel ABS they cap it with a dummy plug. Your truck probably only has rear ABS.

Certainly not ABS. ABS is on all 4 wheels, as all 4 wheels have brakes.

I purchased a new 2003 Dodge Durango SLT 4WD with the 5.9L / 360 CID engine. Not until after I took delivery did I realize that ABS was only standard on the rear wheels. Four-wheel ABS was optional.

The OP has a 1999 model, so I’d bet that he also has the standard rear-wheel ABS.

Exactly. I can remember it as far back as 1994 trucks being optional but having just the plug as described.
