I have a 95 dodge ram with a 360, it stranded me today, was driving up a really rough dirt road suspension bottomed out, and the battery tray snapped off laying the battery over onto the belt (which i found later) the belt cut the case of the battery, which sprayed fluid everywhere and ripped a ground out of somewhere (assuming a body ground) anyway, the truck still ran and drove fine, parked at the lake unloaded, got back in, moved it parked again, when i came back it wouldnt start, which is when i found the battery damage. I need advice on what all to check for no start. Fuel pump runs, all lights, turns over, but wont start, doesnt even try to fire, could it be the coil? Or the ground that broke? No plugs or wires loose anywhere, cranks like usual but no start. Is there a way to check the coil? Please any advice is appreciated, need to be able to get to workv

If you haven't fixed it yet it sounds like it could be the coil but I would track down that ground it might be more than you think you need three key things fuel air and spark irk check to make sure you are getting spark first you could easily just pull a plug wire off and have someone turn the truck over to see if you get a spark from the plug. I'd check the distributor cap and button also

There are several grounds on these trucks that cause weird problems, however, I believe that if one of those grounds had gotten ripped out while driving, you would have known about it.

Depending on where all the electrolyte got to, you might be looking at a coil issue, but that IS on the other side of the engine. Off hand the PDC might have been affected as well. You may have buggered up a relay in the PDC controlling the coil. It's late so I can't think of which relay it is though, right now. lol
