Just went through a carwash and noticed a ton of water. I have seen the threads on 3rd brake light. However I replaced mine with an aftermarket light 3 years ago and no problems until today. Its getting wet on seat, headliner, etc on backseat drivers side.

Still think its 3rd brake light? I see no water anywhere near the light... de207cfad250819b4353d532cd7d22c8.jpgd4350d8a85e6f3dbe5ea48f0e8531094.jpgdd565c98f128a955ecd2c5104f2bbf46.jpg

Very possible that the third lamp seal is leaking. Do you have the sliding rear glass? If you do, probably the sliding glass seals could be leaking.

If you remove the brake light, you'll see why the water never comes in near the brake light.

Behind the light is basically a channel to either side. The channel ends at the corners of the cab, so any water that gets in will flow through that channel and out whichever end the truck is tilted towards.

Im not sure how the designers thought it was a good idea, but it is what it is.

I thought about trying to make end caps that you could put to either side of the brake light area, to try and keep any leak contained, then add a small cut in the bottom of the brake light gasket so any water accumulated between the end caps could escape.

Ok its either then shark fin... which is directly above the leak. Or 3rd brake light. I put an aftermarket light in about 3 years ago and figured I wouldn't have problems. Will have to check both

#3rd light, IMHO. That is the reason even though I would have luved to put LED in CHMSL area, I left alone, not wanna tempt fate

ADDED: From other posts: Lots have pulled cover and used "clear" silicone and siliconed cover.......

3rd brake light! Was the gasket rubber or foam?
