My traction control light comes on and shuts me down while taking turns on the road. Most are gradual everyday curves on the road and up/down hills so it’s a little nerve wracking when it happens. Dealer said nothing they can do, I’d like to just delete traction control all together but I don’t know how without killing abs and cruise control.

It’s a 2025 Ram 3500 cab and chassis tow truck. So shutting down is very unsafe and annoying AF… Especially here on Arkansas roads

is this on slick roads? Could it be a malfunctioning wheel speed sensor, detecting the difference in tire rotation on the inside of a curve vs the outside?
Maybe just turn it off until you get it figured out, a Dealer saying there is nothing they can do tells me you need a different deaerl.

Try a different dealer. It may be necessary to visit a few until you can find someone that can help.
They used to factory train their mechanics , but not anymore.

Dry roads and literally just regular curves in the road. Located in Arkansas so we have more curves and I was just regular driving. Sometimes I do take a curve hard but this thing won’t even let me think about taking a curve fast.

Now this past snow we had literally stopped me in the middle of the slush turning at a light.

2 local dealers plug into it and say they can’t find a fault…

What do you mean "shuts me down"? Engine stops running?

I have a '22 2500 with factory traction control. It has never given me any issues on our Ozark Mt roads, FWIW. I have a button to shut it off.

I've found the Ram dealer in Bentonville to be better than the one in Springdale.

Two of the main influences on traction control coming on is wheel speed differential and steering angle. Are all the tire sizes factory size or all the same diameter?

100% stock size tires.
And shuts me down as in no throttle, so take a turn in snow or mud and take your foot off the pedal and that’s what it does.
In Eureka Springs it’ll do it at pretty much every curve, dry roads and not fast enough to break tires loose and it’ll flash the traction control wiggle icon and blah slows down.

I’ve tried shutting traction control off but it “resets” when I go over 30 or 40 mph.

I’ll hit the bentonville lot and ask.
Fayetteville doesn’t even know how to change fuel capacity to 40 gallon instead of the factory 52 gallon… Gauge goes off gallon instead of actual level. “It’s a Tow truck now so frame gets cut off behind springs for the lift so factory tank had to leave”

There are two systems that can cause this Traction Control and Stability Control, SCS also know as ESC. TCS works off of wheel spin and cuts power to keep tires from spinning. Stability control cuts power to keep the vehicle from getting out of line, this is triggered off steering angle of the tires in relation to the vehicle. So if it thinks the front or rear end is getting out of line, it cuts power to recover the perceived skid.

When you first hit the TCS off button in 4WD High, it bings and shows TCS off, if you held it for 5 to ten seconds longer without releasing it and while sitting stopped, it will next show SCS/ECS off also. With just TCS off, does the power reduction still happen. If not it likely is sensing wheel spin the isn't there or is too sensitive. If it still cuts power, turn both TCS and SCS off per above. If it no longer cuts power you know it is the SCS cutting power becasue it thinks you are going into a skid.

Low Range defeats both TCS and SCS completely, but you are limited to a max speed of about 40 mph. In 2WD or 4WD high TCS and SCS will both reset above 40 mph or so and come back on.

If they can't solve what is causing the TCS and SCS/ESC to trigger when it shouldn't, and it is definitely not working right now from your description, then there are other options. On some models you can use AlphaOBd to turn TCS and SCS off. Your dealer is likely locked out of being able to do that for Liability reasons. There is also a fellow that makes a harness that bypasses TCS and SCS for 1500s, but you would have to call him and see if he has one for your 3500.

You can also pull the fuse. The switch basically does the same thing as pulling the fuse does. Traction control will be completely off in 4 hi /4 auto etc.

Some of these don't apply specifically to you but contain useful information.

I would put a switch in , to toggle the fuse off or on .

That sounds more like a problem with the vehicle stability control(ESC), guessing it has some bad data from the steering angle or vehicle accelerometer(s) that feedback body roll.
Typically traction control doesn't turn itself back on due to speed, manufacturers know people turn it off so they can get higher wheel RPMs when trying to unstuck a vehicle.

Modern dealer techs lack critical thinking skills, they plug in their diagnostic tool and if there aren't any active codes, they say "No problem found" "Sucks to be you". Ask the dealer to check and recalibrate all of the ADAS sensors (steering angle, yaw rate, acceleration, etc.). One of the sensors is providing false data and triggering TC. Ask if the dealer tech can ride shotgun with you while monitoring sensor data on their diagnostic scan tool/laptop etc, to watch for intermittent glitches in data.

So I've been having a very similar issue with my 22 Big Horn 5.7. Same issue taking sharp turns/corners at speed. My traction control engages and applies brakes until I'm out of the turn. Dealership is useless. Talked to a Ford Master Technician today. He suggested it could possibly be a steering angle sensor for my issue. Just my two cents.
