Hemi or not

I just purchased a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L V8. They listed it as a Hemi but i'm questioning that now. How am I able to tell if this engine is a Hemi or not? I looked under the hood and it says 5.7L but that is it. When I did a check online it comes up as 5.7L V8 OHV 16V.

2 spark plugs per cylinder will prove it.

Yup. The 5.7 is a hemi. It's the only v8 they put in that year. Older models had the 4.7 available which is not a hemi but in I think 2013 or 2014 they dropped the 4.7.

the 5.7L Hemi in a 1500 looks incredibly small I remember how unflattering it was when I opened the hood of my 2005 1500... My first question to the guy selling it was "Thats a Hemi?" LMAO fact is the cab forward design from chrysler sets the engine back under the glass and huge fan shroud to make up the distance of the inline 6 diesel makes it look like a 4cyl

That was the reason I questioned it. I had a 2017 tradesman and it looked bigger. I think my 2015 V6 Eco Diesel looked bigger than this one. So I really thought wow is this really a hemi. This is the sports so I didn’t know if that had an impact.
