I'm online looking through all the Dodge trucks for sale. Looking to replace my Durango soon. I see that most of the trucks have the hemi engines (I'm looking for a 04-10 pickup). How reliable are these engines? I tow a 30' camper and occasionally a 28' enclosed trailer and the Durango is just to small. I got the truck for free. I found two trucks I was interested in. I called about one and it just sold. The other one I'm calling in the morning.

I've got 207k on my 2500 hemi, runs like a top. I know a lot of other members on here are even over that and still running great, really the thing to be wary of is the tranny in my opinion, these hemi engines seem to be some seriously tough motors

I bought my 04 1500 hemi sport last February with 256,000 on it. I just returned from a trip pulling a 5000 pound camper over 3000 miles. It used just under a quart of oil. Right now it has 262,971 on it. I don't know if this is the original motor.
