I have a 2010 laramie 4x4 I’m looking to trade for a newer one. Thinking 2022-2025, 4wd,4 door, trucks have changed so much since I was last shopping.
What are your thoughts on the side cargo boxes, and the large dash screen.. do you like em or hate them? Also how about the hemi E torque, any good? Anything else I should look out for??
Thanks, Scott.

I just went from a '16 to a '23. I researched all the major brands back in '16 and again now and chose Ram both times. I had no major issues so it was not a hard choice.

The 12" screen is taking some getting used to. I preferred the simple knobs to turn to get the exact air I wanted very quickly and easily. Also the radio and phone calls. But I am sure I will get better at it and it will be fine. I went E-Torque. It too is taking some getting used to since it pulls a little while braking and jumps off the line. the auto stop start is responsible for that too. I am not afraid of the E-torque issues so hopefully that will be a wise decision. Other than that I am really enjoying the new to me truck. It is much smoother and quieter, more refined I'd say, since it is so much newer and many less miles. I am looking forward to years of enjoyment.

I have a '23 with E-torque and likely wouldn't buy one again. Mine has been to the dealer 5 times for minor issues, only 16K miles so far. Probably 2-3 were e-torque related. I believe the '22 and earlier had the option of no e-torque, I would look for one of those if you can find one that suits you.

Mine has the 8.4" screen. I didn't really like the 12" screen, just looked too much like a tablet mounted to the dash. Plus I'm not watching videos in my truck, so didn't see the need for larger than 8.4".

I went from a ‘14 Bighorn to a ‘22 Longhorn Limited. No etorque.

I love this truck! Quieter and smoother than ‘14. Maybe not a fair comparison since the ‘14 had 114K on it and the ‘22 has 53K.

I have Ram Boxes on it. I like them. They’re a convenient place to toss stuff like gloves and other little doodads. They appear to be watertight too.

The Longhorn seems to sit lower to the ground. I’ve never put a tape to it but stepping off the powered running boards isn’t nearly quite the leap. My wife loves it. It’s just easier to get in and out of.

I like the flat floor the 5th gens offer too.

I like the 12” screen. I like technology though.

I’ve only had the ‘22 since late February but again, I love it.

I really liked my ‘14 but this one is even better.

My only complaint I have is when I flushed the brake lines. Those powered running boards sit much closer to the ground and I had to lift the front end of the truck so I could get under truck without compressing my rib cage.

Small taters. :)

Ok, I just saw these replies, how do I set it up so I get notifications?
While I thank you for opinions they wont help as I have already purchased a truck.
I Picked up a 2022 Rebel GT with 31,000 miles! And bonus, the GT has a floor shifter instead of the little knob.

I went from a 2010 Laramie to a '23 Limited with e-torque. 30k miles and no problems.
