2016 Dodge Ram Laramie Longhorn - doing a level on Monday going with:

Bilstein 5100 to be set at 2.8
New Movotech UCA
New Movotech TTX lower ball joint

Rear already has the Bilstein 5100 install

The end goal will be to run the new Toyo Open Country AT3 - 35 X 12.5 X R20

Measured difference between rear and front about 3" difference so thinking that setting at 2.8 will put it exactly where I want it.

Also going to install SuspensionMAXX SMX-1300L - SuspensionMAXX Sway Bar End Links

OVERKILL??? maybe but I figured if the front end is apart anyway why not put aftermarket lower ball joints in and I have heard of good things about the SuspensionMAXX Sway Bar End Links

Now I am looking for a bit of help in so far as I am in Canada and shipping sucks a$$ up here - I have located the SuspensionMAXX Sway Bar End Links on Summit Racing for $134.55 add shipping and duty and it up to $177.00 USD.

I am wondering if anyone has a discount code or anything to help bring the cost down a bit.

Cheers

The Mevotech upper control arms aren't built for lift geometry correction, they sort of solve the popping out ball joint problem but they don't solve the alignment problem at all. I get that they're the cheapest upper control arm but that's because they're just OE replacements.

You'll end up buying proper upper control arms a couple months from now anyway, better to install them now and return the Mevotechs if you can vs. having to buy it all twice.

I think the SuspensionMaxx end links are cool but they're not necessary, not nearly as much as lift-specific control arms are.

You won't fit the 12.50 on there without a spacer otherwise you'll rub the arm. I just put OC AT3s on mine, tallest you can go without rub would be the 295/65/20 - that's where I'm at. This tire is 12" on the dot on a 9" wide rim.

For reference - I'm actually a tad taller than where you will be. I'm running eibach spring w/ 5100 at 3rd notch and a zone 1.5" body lift in the front and a 1.5" coil spring spacer and 5100s in the rear.

And I second the above - I've got Freedom Offroad UCAs that fix the geometry. They're pretty reasonable at $360 for the pair. Might wanna check them out.

I ran 35x12.5 on my stock 20x9 rims for a few years (bills set at 2.1) barely rubbed (minor reversing full lock on specific angles), BUT, i did have a 9mm wheel spacer (from summit racing)

Thanks guys for the info:

@kurek with regards to Mevotech I hear what your saying - I did got to the Mevotech Supreme so I think one level up from OEM - I've painted them so can't return - I'll run them for a bit and save some cash to upgrade cause $500 for Zone UCA is steep especially as I won't be going off road - I have a pavement princess truck :)

@regal81455 appreciate the info - one question do the 295's sit flush with the outside of the wheel well? I don't want the wheels sticking way out past the wheel well. Wheel spacers are an option I would consider Bora wheel spacers if I go that route with the 35's

Cheers

Any issues with the wheel spacers - I know you need to get wheel concentric ones

I don't have a down the fender pic but they're basically flush with the oem flares. I can get one later today if you want me too?
