Hi Beam Circuit tie-in

I know this is an old thread... I am trying to tap into my high beam as well to get a trigger for an led light bar. I found my bcm, but it is so tucked up in there and behind what looks like an amplifier, that I don't know how I'd ever get there. So, can I just tap into the actual power wire for the high beam at the headlight housing? It seems it would be much easier to access.

Your drl lights should be the upper and lower strips on the headlights. You are fine using the high beam to tap into
