I love a good set of HID lamps and was wondering if the switch was easy to do and comes with little complications and also if it was a project that someone with little technical skill could accomplish. What are some of the top-notch brands for our trucks?

Thanks

are you wanting a projector, or a drop in kit?

Either way, I can get you the parts, or do the retrofit! :D

ive used nothing but retrosolutions digital kits and wont use anything else. Also if you are talking plug and play, I would highly suggest projectors. Either try it yourself if you have a spear set of light or talk to JJ(^^^) and his retro shop. Ive gone both plug-n-play and projectors and I wont go back to plug-n-play.

Projectors are those headlights you see on luxury cars. I.e. Lexus, Mercedes.

Plug n play are hid kits, easiest kit to get, it's the fastest way to get hella bright headlights

plug and play is just a replacement bulb(and a ballast) in your stock housing. Crazy bright. The projector makes a cut off line to keep the light on the ground and not too bright for oncoming traffic. When I had plug and play I had my headlights pointed all the way down and would still get flashed. Projectors I get more light and no one flashed me even in my lifted/leveled truck.

if you get quality one from JJ or retro solutions you wont have any issues, and if for some reason you do they will be a easy fix and they have great customer service. Retrosolutions specializes in OUR dodge truck. Kits made just for them, NOT just generic bulb type kits like most other companies.

.... and electronics.
NO harm intended. I guess I wasn't aware we were classifying headlights as electronics. When I think of an Audio/electronics forum I think of speakers, headunits, amps, the electronics part are those pieces that have actual electronic circuts in them not something we stick light bulbs into. Only reason I mentioned it is there is some very good information on this thread and some people ( who think like me) won't go into the Audio/Electronics forum to find this information. It's all good sorry.
