I'm getting ready to buy the HID's for my dual lights from JJ. I'm going to get the 55w digital HID's. I'm just having a hard time finding anything about the difference between the 5000k and the 6000k. I know that it has been discussed on here before but I can't find the pictures of the two... Can anybody recommend one over the other and maybe some pics of the two?

I believe the 6000 have a blue color (hue) to them. I think his website stated the 5000 are the pure white.

That's kinda what I thought also but, wasn't quite sure. I finally found a few threads on here (after I typed the right stuff in). I'm kinda torn between the two. Sorta leaning towards the 6000k at the moment.

The 55W 6000Ks should have most of the blue washed out of it by the intensity.

Your lights look good I have seen them in other post. I'm also thinking about getting those switchbacks too!

5k vs 6k, 5k will be brighter (approx 500 lumens). 5K is the pure white, 6k will have some blue to it. ;)

The 55W 6000Ks should have most of the blue washed out of it by the intensity.

On a paired set (like we sell, not a 35W bulb being pushed by a 55W ballast like my competitors) - there should be no washout.

On the switchbacks.......I've had a few that glue failed on. WTF. Latest batch, no issues. :naughty:

i put 6k 35w HID bulbs in my sisters charger. i personally like the 6k. it makes the street lines glow very nicely. barely has a hint of blue to it. here is my truck next to the charger. ofcourse i have the projectors and the charger doesnt. mine are the 55w 5k bulbs. charger is the 35w 6k bulbs

I guess my main concern is that I don't want any yellow.

5K won't have any yellow in it. ;)

I've ran 5s, 6s, 8s, 4300s, LOL - I love me some 5s

OK one more question... Are the transactions closer to 5000k or 6000k when they switch?
